SUMMARY:Workshop by Faculty Series: Leading Change in Uncertainty
DESCRIPTION:Join the UWA GMA and Dee Roche Online as she presents “Leading Change in Uncertainty” \nGMA Members: $40 \nNon-GMA Members: $50 \nLast day to register is Monday\, May 6th\, 2022\nA lifelong learner and innovator in leadership\, strategic change\, and transformation.\n“My role is to prepare students for the relentless and ever-accelerating rate of change.”\n-MBA TEACHING FELLOW DEE ROCHE \nAbout the Workshop \nWe all know that the world of work is changing almost beyond recognition. The fast pace of change\, uncertainty\, and volatility is inherent in all our personal and work lives. The Covid-19 pandemic is not only disrupting our lives but is also reshaping the global economy. This environment has transformed how workers in all areas carry out their jobs with new tools and protocols. \nHowever\, regardless of the source or causes of change\, all organisations are regularly faced with the need to change; it could be argued therefore that ‘change’ is normal. The process of leading change successfully however is a complex and multifaceted process with planned and sometimes unintended consequences. \nAccording to Kotter\, 70% of change ‘management’ initiatives fail\, due to poor execution or lack of understanding of the emotional impact of the change itself. Therefore\, in meeting the challenge of disruptive change within the organisation\, there is a need to understand how to lead change\, rather than simply ‘manage’ the change. \nWhen changes hit the workplace\, the actual change itself is often not difficult for employees and managers to work through…….however the internal emotional impact of the transition process is far more dynamic. The key to leading change is to understand that change is an external process and transition leading to transformation is an internal deeply emotional reaction to the change. Therefore\, understanding the process and the emotions involved in transition is a significant step forward in effectively leading change. \nWith this in mind\, there is no one change model and/or guaranteed universal steps for leading change. Therefore\, the purpose of this Masterclass is to take you on a journey and equip you with a range of models and tools to lead change. \n  \nA Teams link will be emailed to you after registration and when numbers are finalised. \n  \nEvent Sponsorship Available: Elevate your organisations profile amongst key industry stakeholders by becoming a sponsor. If you are interested in sponsoring this event\, please contact admin@gmauwa.com.au \nDisclaimer: The GMA’s events may be subject to change due to COVID-19 restrictions.
