The Legends Award

Honour a member whose ongoing commitment has created and delivered lasting value for the GMA. Nominees have typically been involved with the GMA for four years or more, though significant impact over a shorter period may be considered.

Nominees are assessed on

  • Sustained contribution An ongoing commitment to creating and delivering value for the GMA and its members, rather than a one-off effort.
  • Service to the association Typically four years or more of involvement, equal to two elected councillor terms, though significant impact over a shorter period may be considered.
  • Breadth of impact Contribution felt across the association, whether through events, partnerships, governance or the member community.
  • Standing The respect of members, council and the wider UWA community.
