In 2026, the Graduate Management Association celebrates 50 years of bringing UWA’s MBA community together. The GMA was formed in 1976 by MBA graduates of the Graduate Management School at UWA, driven by a simple goal: to keep the friendships and connections made through the MBA alive, and to strengthen the relationships graduates had built with UWA staff. Half a century on, that founding spirit hasn’t changed, the GMA is still led by a community built on the same idea that brought it into being: that the connections you make in an MBA are worth holding onto long after graduation. This milestone is a chance to look back on five decades of networking, career support, and friendship, and to thank the members, volunteers, and University of Western Australia community who have kept it going since 1976.
