The Legends Award
The Legends Award was initially introduced in 2014 as an honorary lifetime award recognising the contributions of Charlie Gunningham and Brian Leedman to the GMA. More than a decade later, it continues to honour individuals who make a significant contribution to the GMA.

Eligible Nominees
Candidates must:
- be associated with the GMA. GMA membership is not required.
- have demonstrated a significant contribution to the GMA. Typically, candidates have contributed for at least four years; however, the selection panel has discretion to recognise individuals who have made a meaningful impact over a shorter period.
Candidate Identification and Selection
Each year, the GMA invites its members to help identify eligible candidates for consideration against the published assessment criteria.
To submit a nomination, complete the short nomination form, outlining how the candidate meets the criteria. Candidates cannot self-nominate.
Nominations close midnight, Sunday, 27 September 2026.
The recipient/s will be selected by:
- Current Council, Graduate Management Association of UWA
Note: if a current council member is nominated, they are excluded from the selection panel.
Award Presentation
The Legends medallion is presented each year at the GMA Annual Black Tie.
