UniHub: BHP -Technical Entry Program information session

June 30, 2022 @ 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm AWST

At BHP, we have a long-term commitment to providing an inclusive and diverse workplace.

The Technical function is committed to support this, and we have designed a Technical Entry Pathway Program. This talent pipeline will enable diverse candidates to join both BHP and Technical as tomorrow’s technical experts.

Primarily the program is focusing on recruiting individuals who identify as female, neurodiverse  or gender diverse.

We will provide opportunities for diverse participants to. learn within BHP’s processes and systems, building capability and ultimately improving performance by having inclusive and diverse teams.

What is the Technical Entry Pathway Participant role?

•Participants will be employed on a permanent basis and provided with a 6-month development period.

They will experience a combination of both technical and professional development through project exposure.

•A participant must be able to demonstrate relevant education with any previous technical experience being viewed favourably.

Principles of the Technical Entry Pathway Program:

•All participants will participate in the Technical Entry Pathway Program, which enables accelerated learning to build technical and professional capabilities across Technical and a relevant sub-function.

•Participants will report to a designated line leader who is responsible for their day-to-day development and performance management supported by the Capability Segment Owner (CSO).

•The CSO is responsible for participants onboarding, general training and identifying the appropriate rotation (if applicable) or placement pathway for the participants.

Upon successful completion of the Technical Entry Pathway Program, participants will transition to a non-program role. The CSO will liaise with relevant team leaders to identify suitable opportunities for participants prior to the end of the program
